She is a dedicated social services professional with over two decades of experience in child welfare, developmental care, and rehabilitation. She holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree and has built her career on advocating for vulnerable populations, providing crisis intervention, and connecting individuals to essential resources.
Leah plays a crucial role in helping individuals achieve self-sufficiency. Leah also plays a key role in organizing and implementing programs and empowering local communities. Her commitment to vulnerable neighborhoods is truly remarkable.

Finance Manager
Renetta
Renetta plays a key role at His Village Rescue Mission with her extensive background in project management and finance by applying her expertise to achieve her main objective, which is to uplift underserved communities.
She leads financial literacy workshops, homeownership education, provide guidance on budgeting, homeownership, and professional development training. Her lifelong dedication to fostering economic empowerment and community resilience underscores her invaluable contributions to the organization.
She ensures that resources are used efficiently to support HVRM’s programs and expand opportunities for women in need. Her dedication to empowering others through financial education helps individuals gain stability and work toward long-term self-sufficiency.

Volunteer Coordinator
Nya
Nya effectively works as a consultant and manages our volunteers/interns at HVRM ensuring that each volunteer and intern is equipped to make a meaningful impact. Her dedication to serving others is truly inspiring.
Nya recently graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Public Policy. She is deeply passionate about public health and food justice, believing that unhealthy systems are the root cause of unhealthy communities. Through her work with disaster relief organizations, farms, medical centers, and community empowerment initiatives, she has witnessed firsthand the suffering caused by dysfunctional systems, fueling her commitment to finding solutions.
